Rear differential leaking

Back story... I purchased a 2017 Tacoma DCLB off-road new. 6k miles the rear diff started leaking. Toyota attempted to fix it 3 times over 18 months and at 15k miles they decided to purchase it back from me. Because of that I decided to stay with them and bought my 2018 Tundra platinum crewmax. Toyota recalled 225,000+ Tacoma's for leaking rear diffs. I know lots of newer Tundras are having the same issue. Recall??
My rear diff started leaking at 7k miles on my Tundra. Took it to Toyota they torqued the bolts marked them and said keep an eye on it. That is what they did to my Tacoma at 6k miles. I have been watching it leak more and more.
Here is what it currently looks like.

Did they have a bad batch of gaskets, or are they RTV? Also, I'd ditch that rear breather and do the rear diff breather mod us 1st gens do.

It’s gasket. They must of got some bad ones.
I do have the open breather mod done. I put The OEM one back when it started leaking so they would fix it. They torqued the bolts and told me to keep an eye on it. Once they get it fixed right I’ll hook my open breather back up.

The dealer said that they sent pictures to the Toyota TFS and he said “that does not qualify as a leak under toyota standards and to clean it off and keep an eye on it again. So another 5k miles can go by and it will look like this again then what? Wipe it off again? Until when? My warranty is up? That is not fixing the issue. I would have liked them to leave it and see the progression. Not wipe it off and start all over. I call BS!
I’ve contacted Toyota Corp. and have a case number. We will see what they say. I asked for the service advisor to please send me a copy of the photos they sent to the Toyota TFS for my records. I have yet to receive the photos they said they took. Here is one I took right before I dropped it off. 86E71DC3-E8D3-4F94-9693-EC29B704E17E.jpeg4B7907F8-868A-4ECA-8A15-CBA0C54BD296.png

Got the pictures they sent to the Toyota FTS who said it wasn’t leaking from the pictures. Just wipe it off was their fix. They should have left it so they could see if it progresses. Wiping it clean starts it all over. SMH.

Just got off the phone with Toyota Corp. They aren't going to fix it until it fails. Either oil dripping on the ground or complete failure.
Toyota’s are in the ranks of dodge and ford for leaking rear ends. Get use to seeing it.

Toyota is ok with fluids coming out of all their vehicles as long as it’s not pooling or dripping. I’d expect this from the big three not Toyota.

I sent my brother who has a 2006 Tundra DC a picture of my rear differential. He sent me this and said “160k”

That’s what I’d excpect from Toyota. Not...

I’m so disappointed they aren’t going to doc this.

Mines clean there too. It just leaks out the sides.

My gf's 15 SHO is leaking around the ptu. They noted it and if it gets worse they're gonna replace it. It's about that time since the warranty is almost up.

So pretty much toyota said "deal with it"?
