Toyota has always barely kept up with demand even in the best of times. Lower production rates due to covid and continued demand for their vehicles is making supply short and demand high.
I won’t be suprised if they don’t offer much in the way of rebates on the 2020’s as the 2021’s roll out.

Tried to find a 2018 platinum CM for sale and there isn’t many in my area. Closest one they want $43k for it and it has no options/accessories. There are 3 others that are asking $46k. Same vehicle back in March was selling for 39-41k.
The used market is bare right now.
I check KBB value every couple months just to see.

It has appreciated $3k since March.
That might change since the $600 in extra unemployment stops and people will start looking at paying mortgages or selling vehicles. The used market could change in a few weeks.

Nice! I still wouldn't recommend trading in though lol
Hard to pass up when a glitch in the market allows you to make money on a vehicle you bought and drove 16k miles. I’ll sale it, wait a year and buy it back for $10k less. Haha

If it works out that way you'll look like a genius. Or if the true 3rd gen flops, prices may stay high on the second gens
